When you need to see a dermatologist, it's important to get care quickly - especially if you're dealing with a suspicious spot, rash, or other condition. But far too often, it may take weeks or even months to get an in-person visit with a dermatologist.
Now, you can connect easily with a board-certified dermatologist through MDLIVE without the long wait. There's no doctor appointment required⁴. Best of all, access to virtual dermatology care is available to you and your eligible dependents as part of your health benefits.
HERE'S HOW VIRTUAL DERMATOLOGY WORKS:
- Access virtual dermatology by logging in and selecting “Dermatology”. No appointment is necessary.
- Choose a provider and describe your dermatology concern and upload photos to your MDLIVE account.
- No doctor appointment necessary. Get a diagnosis and treatment plan sent to you, usually within 24 hours.
- Prescriptions will be sent directly to your preferred pharmacy, if appropriate.
- Have follow-up questions? Message the dermatologist for 30 days after you receive your diagnosis and treatment plan at no additional cost.
⁴MDLIVE Dermatology visits are completed via asynchronous messaging. Diagnoses requiring testing cannot be confirmed, and patients will be referred to seek in-person care. Treatment plans will be completed within a maximum of three business days, but usually within 24 hours.
